Pregnancy Timeline - The Story So Far

Given that I have just reached my 5th month along the pregnancy timeline I wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect. I am in a good position now and have started to get really excited. I really can’t wait until he or she is born. I wish the weeks would really start to fly.

I would like to give you a brief overview on how I got to where I am. I didn’t really know how I should feel when I became pregnant. It was a strange feeling. I didn’t feel very pregnant so I felt like something was wrong. This is normal and it won’t be long along the pregnancy timeline for you to feel pregnant.

Then is will really hit you. People say that the first trimester of the pregnancy timeline is the hardest and I would agree with that (although I haven’t finished yet!). I am sure that you will get almost all of the pregnancy symptoms. I had a problem with feeling sick and tired. I wasn’t actually sick but I did have that feeling a lot. I suffered from having backaches as well as headaches too!

At 12 weeks though you get to go for your scan. It is really great to see your baby dancing around on the screen. It is such a relief and it really shows you why your body is feeling like it does.

After about 14 weeks I started to feel much better. This was the first time along the pregnancy timeline that I actually started to enjoy it. I wasn’t feeling sick anymore and I was less tired. I am just having a little bit of bother with my bladder. I believe that my baby is probably sitting or lying on it because it can be quite painful.

Now for the really exciting stuff… looking for baby things. I am busy spending my time looking around the shops and searching online for things to buy for the baby. This is what pregnancy should be all about!
